Bada Al-Anazi: The Al-Jahra Municipality Committee in the Municipal Council, during its meeting yesterday chaired by Abdullah Al-Anazi, recommended approving the request from the Ministry of Islamic Affairs to allocate a residential site for the imam and muezzin in the Al-Jahra area, plot 93, with an area of 300 square meters, subject to the following conditions:
- Adherence to the stipulations outlined in the responses from members of the Sub-Committee for Utilities and Public Services, and coordination with them prior to implementation.
- Authorization for the relevant departments to relocate and adjust the dimensions and area of the site, provided that such adjustments do not exceed the designated areas, in case of conflict with any existing infrastructure services or regulatory requirements.
Al-Anazi stated that the committee received a letter regarding the Municipal Council’s decision on allocating the building of the Ministries Complex in Al-Jahra Governorate. He clarified that a letter from the Municipality’s Director General, Eng. Manal Al-Asfour, indicated that Item 4 of the Municipal Council’s decision dated October 2, 2006, stipulates that “the Ministry of Public Works shall implement the project using its available expertise and technical and human capabilities to complete the project in accordance with the latest architectural and planning systems and modern global standards.” Therefore, the Ministry of Public Works is the competent authority for implementing the project.
He further noted that the committee referred back to the executive body the proposal submitted by the committee chairman, Abdullah Al-Anazi, regarding the construction of two pedestrian bridges on Al-Jahra Highway 80, opposite the Qirwan and Doha areas, to coordinate with relevant authorities and identify alternative locations in those areas.
