Minister of Housing: Electronic Notification of Privatization Decisions to Companies and Investors Begins
Cairo - Nadeh Imam: M. Randa Al-Munshawi, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, announced that the Real Estate and Commercial Affairs Sector of the New Urban Communities Authority has begun activating the notification of companies and investors regarding allocation decisions issued by the Authority’s Board of Directors in its 216th session for the year 2026, which include final pricing, electronically through the Foreign Investment Portal and the Investors Services Portal on the Authority’s website. This initiative is part of the Ministry’s plan for digital transformation, service mechanization, and the enhancement of governance and transparency principles, thereby contributing to supporting the investment climate and facilitating procedures for investors.
She emphasized that this step aligns with the state’s direction toward developing government services and transitioning to an integrated digital system, which ensures faster transaction processing, strengthens investor confidence, and improves institutional performance efficiency. She noted that relying on electronic platforms to notify companies of allocation and final pricing decisions represents a qualitative leap in the investment service system provided by the New Urban Communities Authority.
She added that activating this system helps save time and effort, accelerates the completion of procedures, and enables investors to monitor their status electronically. Furthermore, it supports the Authority’s efforts to quickly collect its financial dues through clear and documented procedures, achieving a balance between providing distinguished services to investors and safeguarding the state’s rights.
For his part, M. Walid Abbas, Deputy Minister of Housing for Urban Communities, clarified that offering new services to investors through the Foreign Investment Portal and the Investors Services Portal is part of the Authority’s plan to develop the real estate and investment service system and enhance communication with investors through modern digital means that rely on speed, accuracy, and transparency.
The Deputy Minister of Housing pointed out that electronic notification of allocation and final pricing decisions aims to simplify procedures, reduce documentation cycles, and achieve the highest levels of governance, thereby enhancing the competitiveness of the investment climate and encouraging further domestic and foreign investments in new cities.
In the same context, Dr. Ahmed Amara, Supervisor of the Real Estate and Commercial Affairs Sector at the New Urban Communities Authority, clarified that the sector has already begun activating electronic notification of companies regarding allocation decisions issued by the Authority’s Board of Directors in its 216th session for the year 2026, including final pricing, via the Foreign Investment Portal at https://foreigninvest.newcities.gov.eg/#/ and the Investors Services Portal at https://assign.newcities.gov.eg/. This ensures that notifications are delivered instantly and documented, facilitating companies’ ability to quickly complete procedures and pay financial dues to the Authority within the stipulated deadlines.
Amara also emphasized that digital transformation in service delivery to investors is one of the main pillars for developing institutional performance in the Real Estate and Commercial Affairs Sector. He explained that integration among various electronic systems contributes to improving service quality, ensuring faster execution, and enhancing the investor experience, in line with the state’s direction toward building a smart government system that relies on technology in managing services.
