3,260 plots in South Abdullah Al-Mubarak set for completion of asphalt and irrigation works

The Public Authority for Housing Welfare continues to accelerate the implementation pace of its housing projects by launching a new tender for the construction, completion, and maintenance of the surface asphalt layer, along with associated items and irrigation network works and control units. This initiative aims to serve 3,260 residential plots in the South Abdullah Al-Mubarak City project, as part of an effort to complete infrastructure elements and prepare the area in accordance with the approved executive program.

The Authority set September 6 as the deadline for closing the tender and receiving bids, while August 9, 2026, will be the final date for accepting inquiries from companies interested in competing. The Authority has opened the competition to local and foreign companies specializing in surface asphalt layers, roads, and infrastructure works, provided they meet the approved technical standards and criteria, ensuring that the works are carried out according to the required specifications.

In line with its commitment to meeting completion deadlines, the Authority emphasized that companies with ongoing contracts in which delays have exceeded 50% of the total contract duration will not be allowed to participate in new tenders until the status of those contracts is resolved. This measure aims to enhance implementation efficiency and encourage companies to adhere to project schedules.

On another note, the Public Authority for Housing Welfare announced its achievements for last June, with the Authority’s Citizen Service Department providing a total of 42,717 services and procedures to citizens. These figures reflect the success of the digital transformation plan and the facilitation of transactions.

Regarding the distribution of housing services, 25,388 transactions were processed through electronic services via the “Sahl” application and the official website. In terms of communication services, 14,831 inquiries were handled through the telephone service and the Chatbot. At reception centers, 2,083 visitors were received at the Authority’s main building, while 415 transactions were completed at external branches.
