Al-Muslem: We added new panels and songs to Waterland

After a hiatus of more than a month, the play “Water Land” returns for its second season tomorrow, Thursday, with a new format, new scenes, and new songs on the stage of the Kuwait Sports Club. The play has gained considerable fame for its innovative concept, particularly as it is the first of its kind to be performed in a large swimming pool.
Al-Anba’ spoke with the director and artist Mohammed Al-Musallam, who said, “God willing, we will return on Thursday after a long break, bringing the show back to the eyes of the audience who could not attend our previous performances. I have also made several modifications to the play, including a scene with Malik Qaysh, a new scene, and new songs such as ‘Lawih Lawih’ and ‘Afir Al-Bahr,’ along with adjustments to the play’s visual presentation, costumes, lighting, and overall direction. I am also pleased that a group of performers has joined the Orion group after leaving Trend Company and joining Orion. Importantly, they have not drifted far, as we and Trend are one, especially since their beginnings were originally with Orion.”
He added, “This is the second season of the play. For the third season, we plan to stage it abroad, provided all the essential requirements and production elements are available, including the swimming pool and its dimensions.”
