The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed Kuwait’s condemnation and strongest rejection of the continued, culpable Iranian aggression against the country, in blatant violation of its sovereignty, a direct threat to its security and stability, and to the safety of its citizens and residents on its territory. It also constituted a grave violation of the rules of international law, the UN Charter, and Security Council Resolution 2817.

The Ministry reaffirmed that the continuation of these brazen attacks, while regional and international efforts aimed at de-escalation are underway, constitutes a systematic undermining of de-escalation efforts and disregards the international will supporting this path.

The Ministry stressed that the security and sovereignty of the State of Kuwait, as well as the safety of its citizens and residents on its soil, are inviolable. It reiterated Kuwait’s inherent and legitimate right to take all necessary measures to safeguard its sovereignty, protect its security, and ensure its stability.

In this context, Foreign Minister Sheikh Jara Al-Jaber received the Syrian Arab Republic’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Asaad Al-Shaybani, on the occasion of his official visit to Kuwait.

The Ministry stated that Sheikh Jara Al-Jaber held a meeting with Al-Shaybani, during which they reviewed the fraternal relations between the two brotherly countries and ways to enhance and develop them across various fields to serve mutual interests. They also discussed the latest developments in the region, particularly the current escalation and its repercussions, as well as efforts to promote diplomatic solutions that contribute to maintaining regional security and stability.

Meanwhile, the General Staff of the Armed Forces announced that air defenses intercepted hostile missile and drone attacks following the culpable Iranian aggression.

In a press statement, the General Staff noted that the sounds of explosions heard were the result of air defense systems intercepting hostile attacks, calling on everyone to adhere to safety and security instructions issued by the competent authorities.

The United Arab Emirates also strongly condemned the renewed Iranian aggressive attacks targeting the Kingdom of Bahrain and the State of Kuwait with missiles and drones.

In a statement, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed that these aggressive attacks represent a blatant violation of the sovereignty of the sister states and a threat to their security and stability. The Ministry reiterated the UAE’s full solidarity with Bahrain and Kuwait, and its support for all measures aimed at preserving their security and stability.

Similarly, Qatar strongly condemned the renewed attacks launched by the Islamic Republic of Iran on the territories of the sister State of Kuwait and the sister Kingdom of Bahrain, deeming them a blatant violation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the two countries, and a flagrant breach of international law, the UN Charter, and the principles of good neighborliness.

The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in a press release that the continuation of these attacks represents a dangerous escalation that could complicate efforts to contain tensions and undermine political and diplomatic initiatives aimed at achieving security and stability in the region. The Ministry stressed the necessity of an immediate and complete halt to all military actions and attacks threatening the region’s security and stability, refraining from anything that could expand the circle of escalation, and returning seriously to the path of dialogue and negotiations, while committing to the understandings achieved through diplomatic efforts.
