Council of Ministers: Ministry of Health continues to distribute full quantities of fortified infant milk
Cairo - Ahmed Sabri The Media Center of the Council of Ministers confirmed, in an official statement published on its social media platforms, that the Ministry of Health and Population continues to dispense the full allocated quantities of subsidized infant formula through all distribution channels, without any shortage or reduction.
The Center clarified that, following communication with the Ministry of Health and Population, the ministry categorically denied rumors circulating about reducing subsidized quantities under the guise of rationalizing expenditures, affirming that distribution is proceeding normally and regularly, and that current available quantities are sufficient for the next six months, meeting all actual needs of eligible beneficiaries.
The ministry added that it continues to take all necessary measures to ensure full coverage of the distribution system. In this context, it issued an official circular at the beginning of the current year stipulating the distribution of subsidized milk for cases of multiple births.
It pointed out that the distribution system has been radically developed through the electronic registration of beneficiaries and electronic linkage with the births and deaths registry system, ensuring that subsidies reach their rightful recipients with greater efficiency and complete fairness.
The subsidized infant formula distribution system currently includes more than 1,235 distribution points spread across various governorates of the republic, in addition to approximately 300 computerized committees for case assessment, which enhances the speed and accuracy of reaching beneficiaries. Citizens can inquire about the nearest distribution point by calling the hotline at 105.
The Ministry of Health and Population reaffirmed its full commitment to providing the necessary support for the health of Egyptian children and placing citizens’ needs at the forefront of its priorities.
The Media Center of the Council of Ministers urged citizens not to fall prey to rumors and false news, and to always rely on official sources to obtain accurate information.
