Al-Ahli Organizes Awareness Workshop on Occupational Safety and Health

The National Bank of Kuwait organized a workshop to highlight the safety and security systems implemented at its headquarters and all its branches, in line with global best practices and in accordance with its firm commitment to providing a safe and healthy work environment for both its employees and clients. The workshop, presented by Sheikhah Al-Zamil, Head of the Safety Management Systems Unit at the National Bank of Kuwait, was well attended by employees from various departments. It aimed to introduce the latest technologies and systems for protecting human and technical infrastructure, as well as procedures for handling early warning systems, automatic fire suppression systems, and safe evacuation protocols during emergencies, alongside a review of business continuity protocols.
The event sought to strengthen a preventive culture and raise employee awareness of the importance of adhering to occupational safety and health requirements, emphasizing their role in creating an attractive, sound, and healthy work environment, and familiarizing staff with related systems, regulations, and directives. This awareness workshop underscores the bank’s investment in the latest global safety systems to build a framework capable of immediate response to any challenges, thereby ensuring the protection of client interests and all stakeholders, while mitigating risks associated with the work environment in accordance with the latest local and international regulatory and supervisory standards.
The event enabled participants to learn about direct communication mechanisms with emergency response teams in the event of an incident, understand established plans, recognize the importance of providing accurate information promptly, and receive training on immediate response to injuries, thereby enhancing employees’ capabilities and improving their response plans. The bank emphasized that the safety of its human resources is the cornerstone of the success of its operational processes, noting that updating and developing safety systems is not merely a preventive measure, but an integral part of plans to enhance readiness for any emergency situation, ensuring uninterrupted banking services at the highest levels of safety.
The bank is committed to conducting mock evacuation drills and organizing numerous workshops and lectures to ensure its staff are fully proficient in operating and managing its advanced and approved safety systems and technologies, and to enhance their readiness to handle any emergency situations.
