Qatar: Repeated Iranian attacks on Kuwait and Bahrain constitute a blatant violation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the two countries

The State of Qatar strongly condemned the renewed attacks launched by the Islamic Republic of Iran on the territories of the sister State of Kuwait and the sister Kingdom of Bahrain, deeming them a blatant violation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the two countries, and a flagrant breach of international law, the United Nations Charter, and the principles of good neighborliness.

The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized in a statement that the continuation of these attacks constitutes a dangerous escalation that could complicate efforts to contain tensions and undermine political and diplomatic initiatives aimed at achieving security and stability in the region.

The Ministry stressed the urgent need for an immediate and complete halt to all military actions and attacks threatening the security and stability of the region, as well as refraining from any measures that could widen the scope of escalation, and returning seriously to the path of dialogue and negotiations, and committing to the understandings reached through diplomatic efforts.

The Ministry reiterated Qatar’s full solidarity with the State of Kuwait and the Kingdom of Bahrain, and its support for all measures they undertake to safeguard their sovereignty and security.
