Renewed Israeli incursion into the countryside of Quneitra and Daraa

An Israeli occupation patrol infiltrated the eastern village of Al-Samdanah in the countryside of Middle Quneitra yesterday. Al-Akhbariya Channel reported that occupation forces set up a temporary checkpoint in the village and conducted searches of passersby, with no information reported on any arrests.

In a related development, Israeli forces stationed at the Hamidiya base fired several shells in the vicinity of Hamidiya town and Al-Salam city, resulting in the sound of explosions heard across the countryside of Quneitra. No injuries or material damage were recorded as a result of the shelling. These developments come amid continued Israeli military movements in various areas of the governorate’s countryside.

For its part, the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) reported that Israeli occupation forces also infiltrated the Wadi Al-Raqad area in the Yarmouk basin in the countryside of western Daraa. It noted that a force consisting of two military vehicles conducted movements within the area before withdrawing.

Previously, Israeli occupation forces had infiltrated with military vehicles in the vicinity of Koudna Dam and Tell Abu Qubais in the countryside of southern Quneitra the night before yesterday.

Israel continues to violate the 1974 Disengagement Agreement through its infiltrations into southern Syria, assaults on citizens via raids and arrests, land bulldozing, and shelling. Syria consistently demands the withdrawal of the Israeli occupation from its territories, affirming that all measures taken are null and void and carry no legal effect under international law. Syria also calls on the international community to fulfill its responsibilities and compel Israel to fully withdraw from southern Syria.
