Iran Continues to Escalate

The Prime Minister, His Highness Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, affirmed the government’s commitment to monitoring the conditions of the injured following the reprehensible Iranian aggression that targeted several civilian and vital facilities.

During a visit to the injured patients receiving treatment at Al-Adan Hospital to check on their health, His Highness directed relevant authorities to mobilize all medical and technical resources and provide the highest standards of healthcare and treatment to the injured. The First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef, visited injured personnel from the Ministry of Interior and the General Fire Department.

He emphasized that their sacrifices and steadfastness on the front lines are a badge of honor for them and their colleagues. In the same context, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed Kuwait’s strongest condemnation and rejection of the reprehensible Iranian aggression that struck again, this time hitting a power and desalination plant, in a direct attack on a vital civilian facility.

The Ministry stressed that the repeated deliberate targeting of vital and civilian infrastructure reflects a systematic aggressive pattern and constitutes a highly dangerous escalation, holding Iran fully responsible legally and morally for these attacks. On the diplomatic front, Foreign Minister Sheikh Jara Al-Jaber held telephone conversations with Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister, His Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan, and Jordan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Affairs, Ayman Safadi, to discuss the latest developments in the region, particularly the current escalation.

On the ground, the official spokesperson for the Ministry of Defense, Colonel Saud Al-Atwan, stated that the Armed Forces detected hostile ballistic missiles and drones within Kuwaiti airspace since dawn yesterday, which were intercepted and neutralized.

The Ministry of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy announced that the power and desalination plant was attacked for the second time within two days as a result of the reprehensible Iranian aggression. Meanwhile, the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and the European Union, in a joint statement, condemned the attacks carried out by Iran against Kuwait, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, the Sultanate of Oman, and Jordan, and emphasized their rejection of any claims of sovereignty or control over the Strait of Hormuz.
