"Threads of Gold" Returns Ghada to Television

Artist Ghada Abdel Razzaq has decided to present, for the first time, two separate works simultaneously in the upcoming Ramadan drama season, as compensation for her absence from the competition last year. Each series is expected to consist of 15 episodes, featuring two different storylines, continuing Ghada Abdel Razzaq’s bet on short-form works that have achieved widespread success and popularity in recent years.

Leading the two projects is the series “Threads of Gold,” which reunites her with writer Ayman Salama, directed by Ahmed Hassan, and produced by Mamdouh Shahin. The second work is directed by Amir Shawqi and written by Shady Mohsen, with further details and cast members to be announced later.

Ghada Abdel Razzaq is expected to begin preparations for the two series after her summer vacation ends, paving the way for filming in anticipation of their broadcast as part of the Ramadan drama lineup.

On another note, Ghada Abdel Razzaq previously apologized for not participating in Mohamed Ramadan’s new series, without disclosing the reasons. The project marks Ramadan’s return to dramatic competition after a three-year absence.

Ghada Abdel Razzaq’s last dramatic appearance was in the Ramadan season through the series “Shabab Imra’a” (Youth of a Woman), which starred Youssef Omar, Mahmoud Hafiz, Mohamed Mahmoud, Gorya Bakr, Lina Sofia, and others. The series was written by Mohamed Soliman Abdel Malek and directed by Ahmed Hassan.
