Munir Al-Zoubi: “Arab Street” – The Drama of Humanity

Maraf Al-Shammari The new Kuwaiti drama series “Arab Street” seeks to offer a distinct experience by blending humanistic themes with suspense, moving away from reliance on repetitive traditional narratives. The production combines a directorial vision marked by director Munir Al-Zoubi’s signature style, a dramatic script written by Susan Darwish in her debut as a drama writer, and production by Adel Al-Yahya.

In a special statement to Al-Anbaa, director Munir Al-Zoubi revealed that “Arab Street” belongs to the genre of social drama, focusing on the details of human life and relationships. It centers on characters and the internal and external conflicts they conceal, presenting a world filled with challenges related to family, belonging, and the choices individuals face in their lives.

He added that the series, filming for which began the day before yesterday, incorporates elements of mystery and thrill alongside social issues, allowing room for plot development and keeping viewers anticipating the revelation of new aspects of the story.

He clarified that the concept revolves around a group of characters whose lives intersect within a social framework marked by change and difficult situations, where feelings of love, betrayal, forgiveness, and the desire to move past the past intertwine.

The series features an elite cast including Abdulrahman Al-Aqil, Fahd Al-Banna, Fatima Al-Tabakh, Hamad Ashkanani, Bader Al-Shuaibi, Nasser Abbas, Haneen, and Saudi actress Asail Mohamed, alongside other names. The 30-episode series is among the productions preparing to compete in the upcoming Ramadan season.
