U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced that the U.S. military continues to enforce the naval blockade on Iran, and that within the framework of this blockade, five ships have been diverted and one ship has been disabled to date. CENTCOM stated in a post on the X platform: “U.S. forces continue to strictly enforce the naval blockade on Iran. As of July 18, U.S. Central Command had diverted five commercial vessels and disabled one.” The post included an image of the U.S. destroyer USS Donald Cook (DDG-75) transiting the Arabian Sea, with an MH-60S Seahawk helicopter flying nearby.
