Saudi Arabia welcomes Jordanian initiative to operate regular commercial flights between Amman and Sanaa

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia welcomed the initiative announced by the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan regarding the operation of regular commercial flights between Amman and Sana’a, which will help meet the humanitarian needs of the Yemeni people and facilitate the movement of civilians. The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs clarified in a statement that the Kingdom welcomes the Yemeni government’s approval of this initiative, viewing it as a positive step that reflects its commitment to easing procedures that serve Yemeni citizens and support efforts to alleviate humanitarian suffering. The statement added that the Kingdom called on the Houthis to respond positively to this initiative, rather than repeating their previous decisions that have exacerbated the suffering of the brotherly Yemeni people, and to cease any escalatory practices or measures that would drag Yemen and its brotherly people into further hardship. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia reaffirmed its support for all initiatives that contribute to achieving security and stability in Yemen, thereby safeguarding its sovereignty and fulfilling the aspirations of its brotherly people.
