Cairo – Kholoud Abu al-Majd: Artist Nina Maghraby made sure to attend the theatrical performance “Alone in the Void,” presented on the stage of the Al-Falaki Theater at the American University, directed by Ashraf Bayoumi. Her presence was aimed at supporting an initiative to empower children and youth through culture and art, providing them with opportunities to express themselves through these artistic mediums.
The performance addresses a number of stories involving children and youth in society, such as domestic violence, lost opportunities, and early child marriage, among other issues, conveyed through contemporary dance pieces trained by director Ashraf Bayoumi. The show was overseen by director Tamer Mohsen, who attended alongside Ahmed Magdy and artist Ahmed Baher (known as Kozbara), all of whom came to support the theatrical production and the young participants involved through the “Fan wa Hayat” (Art and Life) group.
