Khaled Al-Muzaffar: "I'm in good health... Our play has reached 120 performances"

Bashar Jasim Al-Kandari: Social media platforms circulated news about a serious health setback for artist Khaled Al-Mutawa and claims that he had stopped staging his play. Al-Anba newspaper called Khaled Al-Mutawa to check on his health, to which he replied: “I am in good health. Everything written and published via social media is nothing but a baseless rumor. I am with the cast, and thank God, we performed our play ‘The Engineer of Public Taste’ in Kuwait and reached 120 shows. We will return on Thursday, the 26th of this month, after a break, and afterward we have a tour across all Gulf countries in the coming period.”

He added: “‘The Engineer of Public Taste’ is a social play for the Kuwaiti audience. The story revolves around a father awaiting the birth of his child and aspiring for this child to become an ‘engineer of public taste,’ presented in a comedic social mix.”

Regarding his song “Bithl Ahobak” (Under the Shade of My Love) and its widespread popularity, he said: “The song ‘Bithl Ahobak’ features lyrics by me, composition by me, and arrangement, mixing, and mastering by Ali Al-Mutarak. It has been a great success, thank God, reaching 6 million views on YouTube and 8 million across other platforms. This success, which accompanies every song I release and achieves significant popularity, carries with it greater responsibility, and I always strive to deliver the best.”

When asked about new television projects, he said: “I have a new series with Al-Balam Group titled ‘The Prison’ Part 2, to be broadcast on Shasha platform, and filming will commence soon. I am also preparing for a new comedy series with my brother, artist Abdulaziz Al-Nassar.”

It is worth noting that the play “The Engineer of Public Taste” stars a distinguished ensemble of artists: Khaled Al-Mutawa, Iman Faisal, Khaled Al-Ajireb, Mohammed Safar, Abdullah Al-Hamadi, Ahmed Al-Mutawa, and Salman Kayed. The play was written and directed by Abdulaziz Safar.
