As part of its ongoing support for youth, Gulf Bank launched the “Red It Up” marketing campaign, offering young people a wide range of benefits, offers, and discounts. The promotion begins when students transfer their scholarship funds and issue a prepaid red plus card, and extends through graduation and the conversion of their red account into a salary account. This enables young customers to save, earn, enjoy daily gifts, and plan their financial futures.
The campaign brings together two award-winning Gulf Bank products: the red account for youth, winner of the Best Product for Gen Z award at the Asian Banking & Finance Retail Banking Awards 2026, and the Gulf Points program, honored as the Best Loyalty and Rewards Program by the global “MEED” magazine. Together, they provide young customers with savings opportunities, daily benefits, exclusive rewards, and financial planning tools.
Under the new offer, youth who transfer their scholarship funds and issue a red plus card receive a free card for five years, along with 20,000 welcome points (equivalent to 60 Kuwaiti Dinars) in the Gulf Points program, the most rewarding program in Kuwait. They also receive a 10-Dinar voucher from “Trولي” and several exclusive offers at “Ola” and “Trولي.”
Customers who already hold a red account and issue a prepaid red plus card receive 5,000 welcome points, a 50% discount on the “Talabat” app every Monday starting next August, and a 50% discount on two cinema tickets daily at “Fox” and “Cinescape” cinemas.
The journey continues beyond graduation: graduates receive 5,000 instant bonus points upon receiving their graduation allowance, plus an additional 20,000 points when converting their red account into a salary account and obtaining a free credit card.
To mark the launch of the “Red It Up” campaign, Gulf Bank’s sales team hosted visitors at a dedicated booth at Al Khorain Complex over the past weekend. The event captured the youthful spirit through competitions, entertainment activities, a photo corner, and a sales area showcasing the bank’s youth-oriented products and services.
Visitors also had the chance to enter a draw to win a red kayak. Alongside entertainment offerings, Gulf Bank placed strong emphasis on financial awareness, dedicating part of its booth to educating the public about the risks of financial fraud, as part of its continuous support for the “Let’s Be Aware” campaign.
In line with its ongoing support for young Kuwaiti talent, Gulf Bank enlisted Kuwaiti designer Lama Al-Jalal for all campaign designs, which reflect the bank’s identity and Kuwaiti society with an attractive youthful touch.
Notably, the red plus card for youth joined the Gulf Points program at the end of last year, making it the most rewarding card in the Kuwaiti banking sector for young customers, and reflecting the bank’s ongoing commitment to developing innovative banking products that meet the needs of the new generation.
Inclusion in the Gulf Points program has also transformed young people’s daily spending habits. Cardholders earn five points for every dinar spent within Kuwait, and ten points for every dinar or its equivalent in foreign currencies when spending outside Kuwait, adding greater value to travel, shopping, and everyday purchases worldwide.
The Gulf Points program is one of the fastest-growing and most comprehensive loyalty programs in Kuwait, allowing customers to earn points when using credit cards and easily redeem them through the Gulf Bank mobile app.
The program offers several key features, most notably an innovative online store that is the first of its kind in the banking sector, allowing customers to purchase a wide range of products using points. The program also enables users to share points with family and friends as flexible digital gifts, convert points into cash balance that is directly added to the selected credit card, and use points to book flight tickets, hotels, and car rentals worldwide.
