Higher Education: Aptitude tests at colleges that require them for admission begin today
Cairo – Ahmed Sabri: The University and Institute Admissions Coordination Office announced yesterday that the number of students who have registered on the electronic coordination website to take aptitude tests for faculties requiring such tests for admission of Egyptian secondary school graduates for the 2026 academic year has reached 9,871 students so far.
It clarified that students can register their preferences to take aptitude tests electronically via the coordination website: https://tansik.digital.gov.eg, until Thursday, August 6, 2026.
Below is a list of faculties that require passing aptitude tests for admission:
1. Faculties of Fine Arts (Arts – Architecture).
2. Faculties of Applied Arts at universities (Cairo – Damietta – Benha – Beni Suef – Tanta – Damanhour).
3. Faculty of Musical Education at Zamalek – Cairo University.
4. Faculty of Art Education at Zamalek – Cairo University.
5. Faculty of Art Education – Minya University.
6. Faculties of Sports Sciences.
Today marks the first day of aptitude tests for faculties requiring such tests, according to the schedules previously booked by students through the electronic coordination website.
Appointment times, faculty selection, and locations for taking qualifying aptitude tests are registered and chosen via the coordination website on the internet.
The Ministry has urged its student community to complete registration on the website promptly and avoid waiting until the last days, as the website will close at 7:00 PM on Thursday, August 6, 2026, marking the end of the registration phase for aptitude tests.
Students can also benefit from the guidance manuals, infographics, and awareness videos prepared by the General Administration of the Media Office and the Ministry’s Official Spokesperson, as well as the guidance manuals prepared by the Supreme Council of Universities, to assist them in registration and taking qualifying aptitude tests for admission to certain faculties.
