Ministry of Electricity: Citizens’ and residents’ commitment and cooperation in conserving electricity enabled the ministry to overcome the difficult phase

Fatima Hayat, the official spokesperson for the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy, expressed her sincere gratitude and appreciation to citizens and residents, as well as to all government entities, state institutions, media outlets, and the private sector, as well as to everyone who contributed to disseminating awareness messages across various social media platforms and messaging applications. She emphasized that this interaction and cooperation reflected a high level of societal awareness and an authentic spirit, manifested in the swift response and unity in serving the nation.

Ms. Hayat clarified that the societal mobilization witnessed on Friday and Saturday regarding the awareness messages, and the collective commitment to resharing and circulating them, had a direct impact on reaching the widest possible segment of society with the Ministry’s messages. This, in turn, contributes to reinforcing the culture of conservation during the exceptional phase experienced by the power system.

She affirmed that the commitment and cooperation of citizens and residents in conserving electricity consumption enabled the Ministry, by God’s grace, to overcome the difficult phase the power system had undergone, with a noticeable impact in reducing electricity consumption below expected levels. This effort also supported the technical teams’ work in maintaining the stability of the power system and ensuring continuous service.

She concluded by noting that the Ministry relies on the continuation of a shared sense of responsibility, calling on everyone to embed the culture of conservation as a national and civilized behavior that helps protect resources and maintain the stability of both the electricity and water systems, thereby serving the public interest and ensuring the sustainability of services for all.
