Secretary-General of Private Universities: Empowering students is a fundamental pillar for meeting Kuwait's development needs

Dr. Jassem Al-Ali, Secretary-General of the Council of Private Universities, emphasized that empowering students to choose academic pathways aligned with their abilities and labor market needs constitutes a fundamental pillar in preparing national cadres who keep pace with development requirements and contribute to supporting comprehensive development efforts.

Speaking to KUNA at the conclusion of the first phase of the “Shape Your Future” awareness and counseling campaign for domestic scholarships, which launched last Tuesday at The Avenues Mall, Al-Ali noted that the campaign has witnessed significant attendance and engagement. The Secretariat’s booth received more than 1,600 male and female students, reflecting the campaign’s importance in raising awareness about the domestic scholarship plan for the 2026/2027 academic year.

He added that the campaign continues to fulfill its awareness and counseling mission, with the General Secretariat continuing to receive students at its visitor hall in the Al-Sanabel Tower to answer their inquiries and provide necessary guidance in preparation for the start of registration for the domestic scholarship plan, scheduled from August 3 to 13.

He pointed out that the continuation of the campaign comes within the framework of the commitment to support students and empower them to make informed academic decisions that realize their academic and professional aspirations, meet labor market needs, and align with the development requirements of the State of Kuwait.
