Kuwait University: Applications for admission for the first semester open tomorrow, Saturday, until the 28th

Dr. Fadel Aziz, Acting Dean of Admissions and Registration at Kuwait University, announced that the application period for enrollment in the first semester of the 2026/2027 academic year will begin tomorrow, Saturday, and run until July 28, via the electronic admissions system.

In a press statement on Friday, Dr. Aziz said that applications are open to Kuwaiti students who graduated from the unified system, the Religious Institute, and the American high school, as well as those who graduated from the English high school and are expected to graduate from schools in the State of Kuwait. He noted that applications are submitted electronically through the admissions system. Meanwhile, the Dean of Admissions and Registration, located at the Sabah Al-Salem University City, will receive applications from Kuwaiti students holding secondary school certificates from outside the State of Kuwait between July 22 and July 28, in accordance with the approved timeline.

He urged students who meet the admission requirements to adhere to the specified deadlines and complete all application requirements within the announced period.

Dr. Aziz added that the university continues to accept transfer applications from students transferring from other universities, the General Authority for Applied Education and Training colleges, and the Saad Al-Abdullah Academy for Security Sciences, as well as members of the Kuwaiti Armed Forces and the National Guard, until August 13 of next year, in accordance with the regulations and controls governing transfer and admission processes. He pointed out that the approval of admission for Kuwaiti students who graduated from American and English high schools and applied electronically will take place between August 3 and August 4 of next year.

Dr. Aziz emphasized that admission to Kuwait University is based on the approved admission policy, the equivalent grade point average or secondary school certificate percentage, according to the requirements of each faculty and the minimum admission thresholds, which vary from one faculty to another. He urged students to select and rank their preferences according to their true priorities and not to settle for listing only one preference.

He clarified that carefully ranking preferences gives students greater opportunities for admission to one of the majors they desire, based on their GPA and fulfillment of admission requirements. He encouraged students to review the admissions guide, utilize academic counseling services, and verify the accuracy of the submitted data and documents before completing their applications, thereby facilitating the admission procedures with ease and precision and enabling them to make a well-considered academic decision that aligns with their abilities and aspirations.
