Al-Arabi arrived at his Turkish camp

The Kuwaiti national football team delegation arrived in Turkey to hold a preparatory training camp ahead of the new season’s fixtures. The team departed the country early Friday morning, marking the start of its pre-season preparations. The delegation is led by Khaled Al-Qabandi, who has returned to the presidency of the Football Department and a seat on the administrative board.

The technical staff is expected to join the squad, although it remains unclear whether national coach Nasser Al-Shatti and his assistant coaching staff will continue in their roles. Al-Shatti is currently on personal leave in Europe, and some reports indicate that negotiations are underway with a replacement coach from Croatia.

The Green Team is preparing to face Indian side East Bengal on the 12th of next month in Kolkata as part of the AFC Champions League Two playoff round.

Thirty-one players traveled with the delegation: goalkeepers Sulaiman Abdul Ghafoor, Ahmed Aadi, Abdulrahman Ajaj, Hussein Kanouni, and Mohammed Khaled; outfield players Jumaa Aboud, Al-Wahab Al-Awadi, Talal Al-Matroud, Ayed Majed, Abdullah Fares, Jasem Al-Shamoo, Abdullah Ammar, Abdulaziz Nasari, Ali Abdul Rasul, Youssef Majed, Badr Tariq, Ali Khalaf, Ali Aziz, Hussein Ashkanani, Omar Al-Azmi, Hamad Harbi, Fawaz Al-Dawood, Bandar Al-Salameh, Khaled Al-Murshed, Saud Al-Anbari, Talal Al-Qaissy, Ali Al-Dokhi; and foreign professionals Ayala, Lucas Chalon, Kenan Maljko, and Zaid Qanbar.
