U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced the start of a new wave of strikes on Iran, confirming that the ongoing attacks, now in their fifth consecutive night, aim to degrade Iran’s military capabilities. CENTCOM stated via its X account: “At 2:00 p.m. Eastern Time today, U.S. forces began a new wave of strikes against Iran for the fifth consecutive night, with the objective of further weakening Iran’s military capabilities.”
