Kuwait Tech Organizes "Future Majors" Forum to Enhance Youth Awareness of Academic Pathways
The Kuwait Technical College, under the patronage and attendance of the Governor of Mubarak Al-Kabir and the Acting Governor of Hawalli, Sheikh Sabah Bader Al-Salem Al-Sabah, is organizing the “Future Specializations” forum on Sunday, July 19, 2026, at the college’s premises, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The event will feature a distinguished group of academics, experts, and specialists across various future-oriented fields.
The forum is organized in line with the college’s commitment to empowering youth, enhancing their awareness of future-driven specializations, and aligning their academic choices with labor market needs, in accordance with the objectives of “Kuwait Vision 2035” toward building a knowledge- and innovation-based economy.
The forum aims to introduce students, parents, and the broader community to the most promising sectors and the skills required in the future labor market, while highlighting the importance of selecting appropriate academic specializations that align with rapid technological and economic transformations.
The program opens with a presentation by Dr. Al-Bara’ Al-Tawrah, Assistant Professor of Media Studies at the Kuwait Technical College, followed by a keynote address titled “From Kuwait Vision 2035 to a Generation That Builds the Future,” delivered by Dr. Fai bin Salama, Assistant Professor of Cybersecurity at the college. Dr. Fai will outline the major transformations reshaping the labor market and the specializations that will lead the future.
The forum also includes a panel discussion titled “How Can We Empower Our Youth for Future Jobs?” moderated by Dr. Fai bin Salama, featuring a distinguished group of speakers and experts:
- Prof. Dr. Mohammed Rabie Al-Anazi – Specialist in Modern Technology
- Eng. Ashwaq Al-Mutairi – Founder and CEO of Aeero Group
- Dr. Ghassan Abdullah Al-Othman – Founder and CEO of Athar Community Organization and Advisor to the Regional Network for Healthy Cities – World Health Organization
- Ms. Shaima Al-Qallaf – Scientific Researcher in Sustainable Environmental Management at the Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research
The panel will discuss key future skills, the role of artificial intelligence, sustainability, innovation, and digital transformation in shaping new job profiles, and strategies for preparing youth to keep pace with these changes.
The forum also features four specialized workshops covering sectors that are among the fastest-growing and most in-demand in the future:
- Cybersecurity – presented by Dr. Maha Al-Latif Al-Zubairi, Assistant Professor of Cybersecurity at the Kuwait Technical College
- Artificial Intelligence and the Future of Jobs – presented by Dr. Fatima Al-Nassar, Assistant Professor in the College of Computer and Information Systems, specializing in AI
- Sustainability and the Green Economy – presented by Dr. Altaf Al-Bahou, Visiting Assistant Professor in Sustainability at the Kuwait Technical College
- The Future of Medical Physics in Kuwait – presented by Dr. Hanan Al-Dosari, Head of Nuclear Medicine Specialists and Head of the National Program for Chemical and Radiological Emergency Response
