Abdullah Al-Salem University: Admission of 1,146 students across various colleges and academic programs

Alaa Khalifa: Dr. Ahmed Tareq Al-Mutawa, Acting Dean of Admissions and Registration at Abdullah Al-Salem University, announced that the university has completed the processing of admission applications and the allocation of Kuwaiti high school graduates who meet the admission criteria to academic programs for the first semester of the 2026–2027 academic year.

Dr. Al-Mutawa clarified that 1,146 students were accepted into various colleges and academic programs at the university, emphasizing that the admission process was conducted in accordance with approved academic regulations and standards, within the capacity limits set for each college and academic program.

He noted that students can check their admission results and the program they were accepted into via the message sent to their personal email address registered in their application, or through the “Sahl” app. He urged admitted students to monitor their email, the university’s official website, and its verified social media accounts to stay updated on instructions and deadlines related to admission confirmation and registration procedures.

Dr. Al-Mutawa explained that the selection among applicants was conducted uniformly based on the highest equivalent grades, taking into account the preference order submitted by each applicant in their admission form, as well as the number of available seats in each academic program. He pointed out that meeting the minimum application requirements does not necessarily guarantee admission to the desired major, as admission is competitive and subject to the capacity of academic programs.

He added that the equivalent grade is calculated according to the weights and standards approved for each college or academic program, based on the student’s high school certificate percentage and results from required academic tests. For the Doctor of Medicine program, the calculation of the equivalent grade includes the high school percentage, English and mathematics test results, and the Multiple Mini Interview (MMI) score.

Dr. Al-Mutawa called on admitted students to adhere to all deadlines and instructions issued by the university and to complete required procedures within the specified periods. He clarified that failure to complete admission confirmation or registration procedures by the announced deadlines may result in the cancellation of admission, in accordance with the university’s regulations and systems.
