Kuwait Fund Announces American University of the Middle East's Contribution of 2 Million Dinars to the Kuwait Emergency Response Fund

The Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development announced that the American University of the Middle East has contributed 2 million Kuwaiti dinars to the Kuwait Emergency Response Fund, which the Fund launched on July 5 of this year. The initiative aims to strengthen national preparedness and enhance the State of Kuwait’s capacity to confront challenges and exceptional circumstances.

In a statement, the Fund said, “The contribution stems from the American University of the Middle East’s firm social and national responsibility, and its persistent commitment to supporting government efforts aimed at strengthening national preparedness to face crises. This reflects the University’s belief in the pivotal role of development initiatives in safeguarding the nation’s assets and supporting its stability.”

The establishment of the Kuwait Emergency Response Fund comes within the framework of an initiative proposed by the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development and approved by the Council of Ministers. The Kuwait Fund will manage the fund and exercise full oversight of its operations, with the goal of creating institutional resilience capable of responding immediately to emergency developments, guided by a comprehensive national vision.

In this context, the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development reiterates its call for all government institutions, public authorities, private sector companies, and national financial institutions to make active contributions to this strategic fund, as it represents a strategic national investment that enhances Kuwait’s developmental security and overall preparedness in the face of various circumstances.
