Lynk & Co L8 PHEV launches in the Middle East

LEPAS, the new electric vehicle and new energy vehicle brand under the Chery Group, held a ceremony for the first shipment of the LEPAS L8 PHEV from Nansha Port in Guangzhou, bound for Middle Eastern markets. This initial batch targets several key markets, including the United Arab Emirates and the State of Kuwait, where LEPAS vehicles will be launched through local partners—in Kuwait, via Al-Babtain Group, the brand’s official distributor—marking the official start of the brand’s global delivery phase in the region.

With the departure of the first shipments, the countdown has begun for the official launch of the LEPAS brand in the Middle East. During the anticipated event, the company will unveil its regional strategy and future product roadmap, introducing its new concept of stylish mobility to customers in the region.

Gulf countries, led by the UAE and Kuwait, are witnessing rapid growth in the new energy vehicle sector, driven by supportive government policies, accelerated development of charging infrastructure, and incentives for consumers, making the region one of the fastest-growing markets in the transition to electric mobility.

Building on these developments, LEPAS continues to strengthen its presence in the Middle East through a diverse range of models designed to meet local market needs. The LEPAS L8 PHEV arrives as the first model in the region, to be followed later by the L4 PHEV and L6 PHEV as part of a gradual expansion plan aimed at enhancing the brand’s footprint in Middle Eastern markets.

The LEPAS L8 PHEV is a five-seat large SUV that combines luxury and comfort. Developed on Chery’s LEX intelligent new energy vehicle platform, it features the brand’s distinctive “Leopard Aesthetics” design language, which blends strength and elegance with sleek lines and a striking presence tailored to the tastes of customers in the region.

The vehicle boasts a wheelbase of 2,800 mm, a spacious cabin, UV-protective glass, and a high-efficiency smart air conditioning system capable of reducing the cabin temperature by 32°C within just five minutes, ensuring a comfortable driving experience even in the region’s hot climatic conditions.
