Saudi and Syrian Foreign Ministers Discuss Enhancing Bilateral Relations and Regional Developments

Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, received his Syrian counterpart, Asaad Al-Shaybani, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, in the capital city of Riyadh. The meeting focused on ways to enhance bilateral cooperation between the two fraternal countries, as well as discussions on the latest regional developments and files of mutual interest, according to a statement from the Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The official Syrian news agency, SANA, reported that Al-Shaybani will hold extensive talks with Saudi officials during his visit. It added that the visit includes a number of meetings to discuss bilateral relations and ways to strengthen cooperation between the two countries, alongside discussions on issues of common concern.
