Red Crescent Organizes Workshop to Enhance Preparedness and Humanitarian Response to Climate Change Risks

The Kuwait Red Crescent Society organized yesterday, in collaboration with the International Committee of the Red Cross and the United Nations Development Programme, a workshop titled “International and Humanitarian Efforts in Preparedness and Response to Climate Change Risks,” aimed at enhancing the capacities of its staff in areas of humanitarian response related to climate change and sustainable development.
The Society’s Director General, Fawaz Al-Muzayri, told KUNA that the workshop is part of the Society’s efforts to develop the capabilities of its national cadres and raise their readiness to address the growing humanitarian challenges resulting from climate change, by leveraging international expertise and best practices.
