Minister of Social Affairs: Accredited training programs and rehabilitation projects for persons with disabilities, released prisoners, the elderly, and orphans

The Minister of Social Affairs, Family and Childhood, Dr. Amthal Al-Huwail, held discussions with the leadership of the Human Building Association on ways to cooperate in implementing social initiatives in partnership with specialized United Nations organizations and with support from the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development.

In a press statement following the coordination meeting, Dr. Al-Huwail said that the ministry and all its affiliated entities are fully prepared to mobilize their resources and expertise to build bridges of joint cooperation to achieve integration.

She clarified that this cooperation aims to enhance the services provided by the ministry to all segments of society, in line with the principles of empowerment and justice, to ensure the sustainability of impact.

She noted that the meeting reviewed the details of the initiatives, which include providing accredited training programs and rehabilitation projects tailored for persons with disabilities, released prisoners, the elderly, and orphans.

Dr. Al-Huwail explained that these programs primarily aim to empower these groups, transitioning them from the umbrella of social welfare programs to a stage of financial independence and professional and personal development.
