The official spokesperson for the Ministry of Defense, Colonel Saud Abdulaziz Al-Atwan, stated that the Armed Forces monitored, yesterday evening, one ballistic missile, five cruise missiles, and 33 hostile unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), all of which were intercepted and neutralized.
The culpable Iranian aggression resulted in the targeting of several vital and civilian facilities, with debris falling in various locations across the country, causing material damage. Additionally, a naval vessel belonging to the Kuwait Naval Force was targeted, resulting in injuries to four members of the Armed Forces. They received necessary medical care and treatment, and their condition is stable.
The Armed Forces affirmed their continued performance of duties and responsibilities with efficiency, within the framework of constant readiness and perpetual preparedness, thereby enhancing national security and safeguarding the safety of citizens and residents.
Earlier, the official spokesperson for the Ministry of Defense, Colonel Saud Al-Atwan, announced that the Armed Forces had dealt with hostile attacks stemming from the culpable Iranian aggression against the country, intercepting and repelling them.
In a media statement relayed by the General Staff of the Armed Forces, Colonel Al-Atwan urged everyone not to approach, touch, or photograph any debris, fragments, or remnants resulting from the fall of missiles or UAVs. He called on everyone to refrain from publishing or circulating any images or video clips of damaged sites, debris fall locations, or interception remnants via social media, and to report such findings immediately by calling the emergency number (112) to ensure public safety and security.
Colonel Al-Atwan reiterated that the Armed Forces continue to carry out their duties and responsibilities with efficiency and competence, within the framework of constant readiness and perpetual preparedness, to enhance national security and protect the safety of citizens and residents.
The General Staff of the Army had previously announced that Kuwaiti air defenses repelled hostile missile and UAV attacks. In a press statement, the General Staff explained that the sounds of explosions heard were the result of air defense systems intercepting hostile attacks, urging everyone to comply with safety and security instructions issued by the competent authorities.
