Has the filming of "Bint Widad" been halted?!

Producer Maha Salim has settled the controversy surrounding the series “Bint Widad,” starring actress Hanaa Al-Zahed, by denying rumors circulating on social media that filming had been halted due to disputes or legal conflicts. In an official statement issued in recent days, she confirmed that filming is proceeding according to the scheduled timeline and that all reports of production or legal crises are entirely baseless.

Maha Salim clarified that claims about the suspension of filming for “Bint Widad” due to a longstanding dispute over the ownership of the work’s concept between director Yasmin Ahmed Kamel and the production company, or pending a ruling on a complaint filed by the director, are merely false allegations. She emphasized that the crew continues filming normally and that all stages of production are being completed without any disruption, reiterating that the series is advancing according to the original schedule.

The producer affirmed that she holds the financial exploitation rights to the work, which includes the story, screenplay, and dialogue written by author Ahmed Adel. She explained that she had not previously contracted with any other director to helm the series. Furthermore, she stated that all procedures related to the production were carried out in accordance with applicable legal frameworks, and that the company retains the right to manage the production process and select the cast and crew.
