Basem Abdulameer: I am with the 30-episode format, as it is entertaining for viewers

Producer Basem Abdul-Amir has completed filming all scenes of the series “Qanun Abdulqader,” written by Abdullah Hafiz, based on an idea by Mansour Al-Balushi, and directed by Hussein Dashti. The series stars Dawood Hussein, Reem Arhamah, Mona Hussein, Mansour Al-Balushi, and Talal Basem.

Al-Anba newspaper contacted producer Basem Abdul-Amir to inquire about his upcoming projects. He stated, “I am preparing to produce a 30-episode series titled ‘Underground,’ written by young author Hamad Al-Rubaian and directed by Khaled Al-Fadli. It stars a constellation of prominent actors, including the veteran artist Ibrahim Al-Harbi, Noor, Mona Hussein, Mansour Al-Balushi, and Fahd Basem. Several other names are currently under negotiation. Filming will commence at the end of this month, and the series will air next Ramadan.”

Regarding the plot, he said, “The series is a social drama featuring suspense and mystery, with a rich storyline that keeps viewers shocked by the final episodes. As a producer, I am betting on this project.”

When asked about the difference between producing a 30-episode series versus a 10-episode one, he replied, “Personally, I prefer works consisting of 30 episodes, especially during the Ramadan season, as they offer greater enjoyment for both viewers and writers. In my view, this format allows the storyline to develop properly. It is also more profitable as a production venture. I have produced many series, all comprising 30 episodes, and we always experienced great enjoyment during both filming and broadcasting.”
