American University in Kuwait signs memorandum of understanding with the Kuwait Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Auditors

The American University in Kuwait (AUK) signed a memorandum of understanding with the Kuwait Institute of Certified Public Accountants, in a move aimed at strengthening mutual cooperation between the two parties and supporting academic education and professional development, thereby contributing to the preparation of qualified national cadres to meet labor market needs. The signing ceremony was held in the presence of Dr. Asil Al-Awadi, President of the American University in Kuwait. The memorandum was signed on behalf of the university by Dr. Ali Sharara, Vice President for Academic Affairs, and on behalf of the institute by Mr. Sabah Mubarak Al-Jalawi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Kuwait Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

The memorandum aims to expand areas of cooperation through various joint initiatives, including organizing conferences, seminars, and workshops; exchanging expertise and knowledge; enhancing training and professional development opportunities for students; and implementing activities that contribute to the development of the accounting and auditing profession, while linking academic study with professional practice.
