Boubyan Bank announced the launch of its summer program, “Boubyan Explorer,” designed for high school students aged 16 to 18. The program aims to develop young people’s skills in exploration, analysis, and decision-making through a practical experience that simulates business study mechanisms and customer experience enhancement within financial institutions.

The program operates under the umbrella of PRIME Academy, Boubyan Bank’s educational and training academy, which targets youth and students through specialized programs that combine theoretical knowledge with practical application. These initiatives contribute to preparing and empowering national talent, enabling them to acquire and refine skills that align with future demands.

The program seeks to introduce participants to methodologies for business study and analysis, scientific research, questionnaire design, and customer journey analysis. It also aims to develop critical thinking, evidence-based decision-making, teamwork, communication, presentation, and delivery skills, while leveraging artificial intelligence tools to support research, analysis, and result extraction.

Running over ten days, participants work in exploratory teams to study real-world challenges related to service design, management, and customer experiences within the bank. This involves conducting field research, interviewing specialists, engaging with product developers and departmental leaders, analyzing findings, and ultimately preparing evidence-based recommendations. These recommendations are presented at the end of the program to the bank’s senior management.

Abdulaziz Al-Roumi, Assistant General Manager of the Human Resources Group at Boubyan Bank, stated that the launch of “Boubyan Explorer” extends the bank’s vision to empower young national talent by equipping them with the skills and knowledge that shape the future trajectory of the financial sector amid rapid changes driven by technology, data, and artificial intelligence.

He added that institutions today no longer seek knowledge holders alone; they also look for competencies capable of understanding challenges, asking the right questions, analyzing data, and reaching conclusions that support decision-making. This need prompted Boubyan Bank to design a program that gives participants the opportunity to develop this mindset through a practical experience simulating the real business environment.

Al-Roumi clarified that the bank continues to expand its use of artificial intelligence across various work areas, based on its conviction that AI has become a key partner in supporting research, analysis, and decision-making processes. Accordingly, AI tools have been integrated into all stages of the program, helping participants utilize them professionally and responsibly when collecting and analyzing data to prepare recommendations.

He noted that the program offers a model for understanding business and decision-making, as participants undergo an experience that simulates the business exploration and analysis environment within the bank. They study real challenges related to customer experience and its development, working in teams that compete to analyze these challenges and present evidence-based practical recommendations.
