Deputy Minister of Cooperatives: Tests to begin for 90 Financial and Administrative Inspector positions in the cooperative sector on August 22

Sultan Al-Abdan: Deputy Minister of Social Affairs, Dr. Khaled Al-Ajmi, announced that tests for filling 90 positions for financial and administrative inspectors in the cooperative sector will be held on Saturday, August 22, for 720 male and female citizens. This initiative is part of a new system that relies on transparency and neutrality in selecting national talents and reinforces the principle of equal opportunity in filling cooperative supervisory positions, supporting the Ministry’s efforts to complete the Kuwaitization plan in the cooperative sector, in line with the state’s direction toward developing government performance and enhancing the efficiency of supervisory bodies.

Al-Ajmi added that the Ministry of Social Affairs signed a cooperation protocol with an accredited private university, which will prepare and administer the tests. This step reflects the Ministry’s keenness to benefit from specialized academic expertise and apply best practices in measuring professional competence, ensuring the integrity and objectivity of selection procedures and strengthening trust in the cooperative supervisory recruitment system.

He clarified that the applicants include 236 candidates for the financial inspector position and 483 candidates for the administrative inspector position. He noted that the university will organize optional training courses for applicants starting July 26, two weeks before the test date, to familiarize them with the nature, topics, and mechanisms of the tests and prepare them to take them on a scientific basis. He emphasized that participation in these courses is optional and does not count toward evaluation criteria.

Al-Ajmi added that the tests will be held on Saturday, August 22, in two sessions: the first from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., and the second from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. The process will be visually documented to ensure integrity, smoothness, and organization according to the highest administrative and technical standards.

He pointed out that passing the test requires achieving a minimum score of 80% to advance to the next stage, which is a personal interview before the specialized committee at the Ministry of Social Affairs. This interview accounts for 10% of the final evaluation, ensuring a comprehensive assessment of applicants’ scientific and professional aspects, as well as their leadership, administrative capabilities, and personal traits.

Al-Ajmi stressed that entrusting a specialized academic institution to prepare and administer the tests embodies the Ministry’s commitment to building a modern system for selecting cooperative supervisory staff, based on competence, merit, and transparency, and aligned with best practices in attracting national talents.

He stated that the Ministry is steadily advancing toward developing the cooperative sector by empowering qualified national talents and preparing supervisory and administrative leaders who possess the competence and experience to enhance financial and administrative oversight, safeguard cooperative funds, and improve performance levels within cooperative societies. This aims to serve the public interest and strengthen the sustainability of this vital sector.

Al-Ajmi concluded his statement by reaffirming that the Ministry of Social Affairs will continue implementing development initiatives and forming strategic partnerships with specialized academic and professional institutions. These efforts aim to enhance the quality of the selection and qualification system, entrench principles of justice, transparency, and equal opportunity, and ensure the attraction of the best national talents. This supports the development of the cooperative sector and realizes the state’s aspirations to build a more efficient supervisory and administrative apparatus, in accordance with the directives of the political leadership, Cabinet instructions, and recommendations from the Minister of Social Affairs, Family, and Childhood, Dr. Amthal Hadi Al-Huwaili.
