First Deputy Prime Minister Discusses Joint Security Cooperation with Bahraini Interior Minister

The First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef, held talks with Bahraini Interior Minister, First Class General Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, to explore ways to develop joint security cooperation and review the latest developments on the regional and international fronts, in a manner that contributes to supporting security and stability and enhancing the trajectory of joint Gulf security efforts.

The Ministry of Interior stated in a press release that this came during a meeting between Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef and the Bahraini Interior Minister on the sidelines of Sheikh Fahad’s visit to the sister Kingdom of Bahrain, as part of the security cooperation and coordination between the two countries.

According to the statement, Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef expressed Kuwait’s pride in the fraternal and distinguished relations that unite it with the sister Kingdom of Bahrain, reaffirming Kuwait’s support for all measures taken by Bahrain to safeguard its security and stability, and standing by its side in confronting any actions that could undermine its security.

For his part, Bahraini Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Al Khalifa said, according to the statement, that Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef’s visit embodies the deep, historic, and entrenched fraternal relations between the two sister countries, as well as the close cooperation and shared visions linking them across various fields.

He emphasized the depth of fraternal relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the State of Kuwait, expressing Bahrain’s appreciation for Kuwait’s supportive stances and its commitment to continuing to enhance joint cooperation in a manner that serves the security and stability of the two countries and their fraternal peoples.

The statement noted that the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef, returned to the country, where he was welcomed at Kuwait International Airport by a number of security leaders.
