Meteorology Department: Active winds raising dust tomorrow and extremely hot weather over the next three days

The Meteorology Authority predicted that the country will be affected tomorrow, Wednesday, by active winds stirring up dust, which will reduce visibility. During the next three days, the weather will be “very hot.”

The Acting Director of the Meteorology Authority, Derrar Al-Ali, told KUNA today that the country is being affected by a surface low-pressure system accompanied by a very hot air mass, with active northwesterly winds that are strong at times, with speeds reaching more than 60 kilometers per hour.

Al-Ali added that the wind activity will begin gradually from tomorrow morning, stirring up sand and dust, which will lower visibility in some areas, especially exposed ones.

He clarified that the speed of the northwesterly winds will decrease at night, dust will gradually settle, and visibility will improve.

He predicted that the northwesterly winds will resume activity on Thursday, noting that the weather during the next three days will be very hot during the day, with maximum temperatures ranging between 49 and 51 degrees Celsius.

He urged the public to follow the weather bulletin via the Authority’s official website and its smart application to stay informed about the latest weather developments.
