Saudi Arabia calls on Iran to immediately halt its brutal attacks to preserve the security, stability, and integrity of the region

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s strongest condemnation and denunciation of the targeting of several Kuwaiti border facilities, an offshore drilling platform belonging to Kuwait Oil Company, and the attacks on the General Consulate of Kuwait in the city of Basra. It also condemned the targeting of two Emirati oil tankers while transiting the Strait of Hormuz, and Iran’s continued threats to the security and stability of the region through attacks on the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the Kingdom of Bahrain, and the State of Qatar.
The Kingdom reaffirmed its complete rejection of Iran’s violation of the sovereignty of sister states, its continued destabilizing behavior toward the security and stability of the region, and its breach of the principles of international law, the UN Charter, the Charter of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and the rules of good neighborliness.
The Kingdom held Iran responsible for the consequences of its continued aggressive attacks, calling on Iran to immediately halt these violations to preserve the security, stability, and integrity of the region. It also reaffirmed its full solidarity with sister states in the measures they are taking to safeguard their sovereignty.
