First Deputy Speaker Discusses in Bahrain the Enhancement of Security Cooperation and Coordination of Gulf Positions

The First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef, met with Major General Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Bahrain’s Minister of Interior, during his visit to the sister Kingdom of Bahrain, as part of efforts to enhance security cooperation and coordination between the two brotherly nations.

At the outset of the meeting, Bahrain’s Minister of Interior welcomed the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, emphasizing that the visit embodies the deep, historic, and firmly rooted fraternal relations between the two countries, as well as the close cooperation and shared visions linking them across various fields.

Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef expressed Kuwait’s pride in the distinguished fraternal relations between Kuwait and the sister Kingdom of Bahrain, reaffirming Kuwait’s support for all measures undertaken by Bahrain to safeguard its security and stability, and standing by its side in confronting any threats to its security.

For his part, Major General Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa underscored the depth of fraternal relations between Bahrain and Kuwait, expressing Bahrain’s appreciation for Kuwait’s supportive stance and its commitment to further strengthening joint cooperation in the interest of the security and stability of both countries and their brotherly peoples. The meeting also discussed ways to develop joint security cooperation and reviewed recent developments in the regional and international arenas, contributing to enhanced security and stability and advancing the trajectory of joint Gulf security efforts.

The First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior returned to Kuwait this afternoon, where he was welcomed at Kuwait International Airport by a number of security leaders.
