Iran’s missiles and treacherous drones continue to target its neighbors

For the second day in a row, Iran and its proxies repeated their attacks on neighboring countries in the region, with their missiles and drones treacherously targeting Kuwait, Bahrain, and Jordan. The air defenses of these countries were on high alert, and the damage in some cases was limited to material losses.

Brigadier General Turki Al-Maliki, the official spokesperson for the Saudi Ministry of Defense and the forces of the “Coalition Supporting Legitimacy in Yemen,” announced that air defenses dealt with a threat posed by ballistic missiles launched by the so-called Houthi terrorist militia toward the southern region.

For its part, the General Command of the Bahrain Defense Force stated that Iran “continues its systematic hostile approach through its despicable missile and drone attacks targeting civilians in the Kingdom of Bahrain.”

The General Command clarified in an official statement that, with firm resolve and high combat readiness, the air defense systems of the Bahrain Defense Force strongly countered and intercepted and destroyed several of the treacherous Iranian aerial attacks yesterday morning.

It urged everyone to exercise caution, avoid approaching any foreign or suspicious objects resulting from the brutal Iranian attacks, and report them immediately. It confirmed that the personnel of the Royal Engineers Unit are fully ready to handle those objects safely and technically, ensuring the public safety of all citizens and residents.

The General Command considered the deliberate use of missiles and drones to target civilians and private property as a blatant violation of international humanitarian law.

Earlier, the Bahraini Ministry of Interior announced that air raid sirens had sounded more than once, calling on citizens and residents to remain calm, proceed to the nearest safe location, and follow news through official channels.

Iranian attacks on Jordan also resumed. A senior military source in the General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces – Arab Army – stated that air defense systems intercepted and shot down four missiles that entered Jordanian airspace from Iranian territory.

The source noted that the interception operation did not result in any casualties or material damage. He added that Royal Engineers teams dealt with the debris that fell in several locations, in accordance with established technical and security procedures, and took necessary measures to secure the sites and safeguard citizens and property.

The source emphasized that the Jordanian Armed Forces continue to perform their duties with the highest levels of readiness and preparedness, monitoring all developments to respond to any threat targeting the security of the Kingdom or its airspace. He affirmed that any attempt to violate the Kingdom’s sovereignty or infringe upon its airspace would be met with firmness, in accordance with established rules of engagement and national interest imperatives, stressing that the armed forces would not hesitate to take all necessary measures to protect the country and defend its security and stability.

Pakistan, the intermediary state alongside Qatar between the United States and Iran, expressed deep concern over recent events in the region that have exacerbated regional tensions, urging all parties to exercise restraint and take immediate steps toward de-escalation and fulfilling their commitments under the Islamabad memorandum reached last month.

The Pakistani Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a press statement, “We strongly support the sovereignty and territorial integrity of all sister countries in the region,” affirming that Pakistan remains committed to providing all necessary support to achieve lasting peace and stability in the region through dialogue and diplomacy.

It is worth noting that Washington and Tehran signed a memorandum of understanding last month, including a 60-day ceasefire, interspersed with negotiations to reach an agreement between the two sides. However, hostile operations resumed after Iran attacked several ships in the Strait of Hormuz earlier this week, and it continued its despicable attacks yesterday.
