In the context of the Ministry of Health’s efforts to elevate specialized healthcare services, Al-Adan Hospital launched a knee joint replacement surgery program, under the supervision of Dr. Ahmed Al-Harbi, Head of the Orthopedic Surgery Department. This initiative reflects the hospital’s ongoing commitment to developing orthopedic surgery services and expanding its range of specialized surgical procedures.
The program successfully carried out the first two knee joint replacement surgeries, with two additional procedures scheduled to follow. The medical team also successfully performed specialized surgeries for hip and ankle joint replacements, an achievement that underscores the competence of the medical staff and the hospital’s advanced capabilities, confirming its ability to deliver specialized surgical services in accordance with the highest quality standards.
The Orthopedic Surgery Department has continued to achieve outstanding results, having completed approximately 200 specialized knee joint surgery cases to date. These cases included joint replacement surgeries, correction of deformities, and treatment of sports injuries. These efforts are part of a continuous development plan aimed at expanding the scope of specialized services and implementing the latest medical technologies and practices, thereby contributing to improving the quality of healthcare provided to patients.
