Registration opens for early participation in the 12th edition of the Gulf Bank Marathon

To reinforce its role in supporting community sustainability initiatives, the Gulf Bank and Suffix Sports Events Management Company announced the opening of early registration for the 12th edition of the Gulf Bank 642 Marathon, the only marathon in Kuwait classified at the global level, which will take place on November 28 next year. The bank renewed its annual invitation to all athletes, beginners, adults and children, and persons with disabilities from within Kuwait and abroad, emphasizing that the event is a sports day for everyone, including persons with disabilities. Registration is available via the following links: www.gulfbank642marathon.com and https://suffix.events/ar/events/details/857.

Suffix, the organizer of the marathon events, in collaboration with the Gulf Bank, has finalized the design of the medals for winners across the different marathon categories, as well as the athletic apparel to be distributed to participants before the start of the marathon. These items reflect the shared values and objectives of organizing the marathon, highlighting the commitment to preserving heritage and reinforcing sustainability concepts within society.

This year, the medals have become one of the most prominent elements of the Gulf Bank 642 Marathon experience. They are no longer just symbols of completing the race but have evolved into collectible items that runners look forward to each year. Each edition carries a story inspired by Kuwait, and this year’s medals were designed to highlight Kuwaiti identity, heritage, and landscapes, providing participants with a meaningful souvenir that reflects their achievement and connection to the country.

The marathon offers participants numerous opportunities and open categories for competitors of all athletic levels. The Gulf Bank 642 Marathon consists of four categories open to all participants regardless of their athletic level: a 5-kilometer walk/run, a 10-kilometer run, a half marathon of 21 kilometers, and a full marathon of 42 kilometers. Participants aged 11 and above are eligible for the 5-kilometer race, those aged 16 and above for the 10-kilometer race, and those aged 18 and above for the half marathon.
