Food Authority Launches Nutritional Survey Project for Its Employees

Hanan Abdulmaaboud: The Public Authority for Food and Nutrition announced the launch of its nutritional survey project for employees, a step reflecting its firm commitment to enhancing the health of its human resources and elevating the quality of the work environment.

The project aims to assess the health and nutritional status of employees and analyze their daily lifestyle patterns, enabling the Authority to develop health programs and initiatives based on precise scientific data that respond to their actual needs and contribute to improving their quality of life both within and outside the workplace.

This project falls within the context of the Authority’s continuous efforts to consolidate a culture of prevention and raise health and nutritional awareness among its staff. It contributes to building a comprehensive scientific database that supports the development of occupational health programs, enhances physical fitness and general health levels, and positively impacts institutional performance and productivity.

Regarding the methodology, the Authority’s official spokesperson, Dr. Shaima Al-Asfour, stated that the project includes a series of comprehensive assessment procedures, including a detailed health questionnaire, measurement of anthropometric indicators such as height, weight, and body mass index (BMI), blood pressure measurement, and the use of laboratory test results conducted by participants. These tests include a complete blood count, fasting blood sugar, iron and ferritin analysis, and lipid profile, thereby providing a comprehensive health and nutritional profile for each participant.

Sheikhha Al-Munir, Head of the Research and Studies Department, emphasized that all collected data will be used exclusively for scientific research and health planning purposes, with full adherence to the highest standards of confidentiality and privacy protection, in accordance with strict professional and ethical guidelines. In this regard, the Authority called on all its employees to register and participate via the dedicated QR code for the project, noting that this initiative stems from its deep belief that human capital is the fundamental pillar for achieving institutional excellence, and that investing in employee health is an investment in the future of the entire system.
