Iran continues its systematic attacks... Gulf and Jordanian defenses at highest readiness and alert levels

Iran renewed its malicious attacks on the State of Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, the Kingdom of Bahrain, the State of Qatar, and the Sultanate of Oman, expanding them to include Jordan, where the air defenses of these countries successfully intercepted the threats.

In the Sultanate of Oman, the Oman News Agency reported that a security source confirmed that sites in the Musandam Governorate were targeted by drones. The Sultanate of Oman expressed its condemnation and rejection of this targeting, stating that it is taking all necessary measures to deal with these developments to safeguard the country and its residents.

The Omani Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced the recall of the Iranian ambassador to hand over a note of protest regarding the targeting of sites in the Musandam and Ad Dakhiliyah Governorates by drones. In an official statement, the ministry said that Sheikh Khaled bin Hashel Al-Musalhi, Undersecretary for Administrative and Financial Affairs, summoned Musa Farhang, the Iranian Ambassador accredited to the Sultanate of Oman, to deliver the note of protest concerning the drone attacks on the two governorates.

During the meeting, Al-Musalhi expressed Oman’s displeasure with these irresponsible acts, calling for strict adherence to the principles of state sovereignty, good neighborliness, non-interference in internal affairs, and respect for the customs and ethical values that bind the two neighboring countries and peoples.

In the same context, the Oman Maritime Security Center announced that competent authorities responded to a distress call from the commercial vessel GFS GALAXY, flying the flag of the Republic of Cyprus, after it was involved in an incident 404 nautical miles off the coast of Musandam Governorate. The center stated in an official release that authorities managed to rescue 23 crew members and provide them with necessary medical care, while specialized teams searched for a crew member who was listed as missing.

For her part, the UAE Ministry of Interior announced that the country’s air defenses dealt with a missile threat. In a statement on its official X platform, the ministry confirmed that air defenses had handled the missile threat and urged citizens to stay in safe places and follow warnings and updates on official websites.

Later, the UAE Ministry of Defense announced that the missile threats detected yesterday morning were outside the country’s borders, noting that national monitoring and tracking systems are operating with high efficiency around the clock at the highest levels of readiness.

Targeting Civilians

For its part, the General Command of the Bahrain Defense Force announced that Iran is continuing its systematic hostile approach through its malicious missile and drone attacks that targeted civilians in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Previously, the Bahraini Ministry of Interior announced that air raid sirens sounded approximately three times yesterday morning, urging citizens and residents to remain calm, move to the nearest safe place, and follow news through official channels.

Cessation of Maritime Activities

In Qatar, the Ministry of Defense announced that the armed forces repelled a missile attack targeting the country. The Qatari Ministry of Interior confirmed that three people, including a child, were injured due to falling debris resulting from interception operations, noting that the injured are receiving necessary medical care.

Material Damage

For the second time since the announcement of the signing of a memorandum of understanding between Washington and Tehran, the Jordanian Army announced that three missiles coming from Iran fell inside the kingdom’s territory yesterday morning without causing any injuries.

A senior military source in the General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces stated in a release that “three missiles coming from Iranian territory fell in several locations within the kingdom’s territory, with no human casualties recorded.”

He added that “the damage was limited to minor material losses.”

The source further stated that “Royal Engineers Corps teams moved immediately to the sites to secure them and deal with the missile bodies and remnants.”

He emphasized that “the Jordanian Armed Forces will not allow the kingdom’s airspace or territory to be used as a battlefield to threaten its security and stability, and will deal firmly with any threat to the state’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and the security of its citizens.”

The source stressed that “all formations and units are at the highest levels of readiness to respond to any potential threat.”
