Abdullah Al-Salem University Organizes First MMI Test for Medical and Health Sciences College Applicants

Abdullah Al-Salem University organized the Multiple Mini Interview (MMI) for students applying to the College of Medicine and Health Sciences for the 2026/2027 academic year, in partnership with King’s College London. A team from the college oversaw the exam via video conferencing, following the admission procedures approved by the college, in a move that reflects the university’s commitment to selecting students according to the highest global academic and professional standards.

The organization of this exam, which is the first of its kind, coincided with the opening of the College of Medicine and Health Sciences at the university, making it the second public university in the country to offer this specialization. This enhances the university’s contribution to preparing qualified national medical and health cadres capable of meeting the needs of the country’s health sector.

In a press statement, Dr. Mona Al-Ahmad, President of Abdullah Al-Salem University, said that the opening of the College of Medicine and Health Sciences represents a qualitative achievement that strengthens the university’s mission to prepare distinguished national cadres in medical and health fields.

For his part, Dr. Adel Aaid, Acting Dean of the College of Medicine and Health Sciences, clarified in a similar statement that the adoption of the MMI exam aligns with international standards followed by prestigious medical schools. He emphasized that the exam allows for a fair and comprehensive assessment of students, extending beyond academic achievement to measure the human and behavioral skills necessary for professional practice.
