Mostafa Madbouly reviews the implementation status of Terminal 4 at Cairo International Airport

Cairo - Ahmed Sabri: Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly affirmed that the state attaches great importance to developing the civil aviation system, through updating airport infrastructure, enhancing service efficiency, and reinforcing the highest safety and security standards, thereby contributing to improving passenger experience and increasing the competitiveness of Egyptian airports at the regional and international levels.

This came during a meeting held yesterday between Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly and Dr. Samah Al-Hafni, Minister of Civil Aviation, to review the implementation status of Terminal 4 at Cairo International Airport.

During the meeting, Dr. Samah Al-Hafni presented the strategic vision and implementation status of Terminal 4 at Cairo International Airport, which is one of the national projects aimed at developing the airport and enhancing its status as a regional and global hub for air transport.

The Minister of Civil Aviation clarified that the project is part of a comprehensive vision aimed at raising the airport’s total capacity to approximately 70 million passengers annually, keeping pace with expected growth in travel demand, and strengthening the airport’s ability to accommodate future increases in passenger numbers and airlines. It also supports Egypt’s strategic geographic position as a major hub connecting Africa, Asia, and Europe, and consolidates Cairo’s status as a primary gateway for air transport in the region.

Al-Hafni noted that the project relies on the latest global concepts in airport design and operation, through the application of artificial intelligence and digital transformation technologies, and the development of a smart and sustainable operational system that enhances the quality of services provided to passengers and improves operational efficiency, while adhering to the highest environmental sustainability standards and resource efficiency, in line with best international practices.

The Minister of Civil Aviation added that implementing the project represents a strategic investment in the future of Egypt’s air transport industry.
