Kuwait Stock Exchange closes its trading with a rise in its general index

The Kuwait Stock Exchange closed its trading on Sunday with the general index rising by 12.71 points, or 0.15 percent, to reach 8,676.04 points. Trading volume amounted to 271.1 million shares, executed through 15,984 cash transactions, with a total value of 60.1 million dinars.
The Main Market index recorded the largest gains, rising by 116.32 points, or 1.33 percent, to reach 8,885.33 points, following the trading of 193.9 million shares across 10,148 cash transactions valued at 30.6 million dinars.
In contrast, the First Market index declined by 8.69 points, or 0.10 percent, closing at 9,081.79 points, after 77.1 million shares were traded through 5,836 transactions valued at 29.5 million dinars.
Additionally, the Main 50 Index rose by 167.57 points, or 1.68 percent, to reach 10,167.67 points, driven by the trading of 159.6 million shares across 7,647 cash transactions valued at 25.4 million dinars.
