Ministry of Finance Signs MoU with Financial Intelligence Unit

The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance, Asil Al-Munifi, and the Head of the Financial Investigations Unit, Dr. Hamad Al-Mukarrad, signed a memorandum of understanding on the exchange of information concerning state assets, to enhance cooperation between the two parties in combating money laundering and related crimes and the financing of terrorism. The memorandum aims to develop mechanisms for the exchange of information and expertise, thereby strengthening the system for preventing and detecting financial crimes, within the framework of the Ministry’s strategy to expand partnerships with government entities and achieve institutional integration in confronting money laundering and terrorist financing, thereby supporting the protection of the national economy and enhancing transparency and integrity in financial dealings.
