Al-Anbaa’ Amazed: Al-Sahil in a New Look Next Season

Hadi Al-Anazi: Al-Sahel Club’s football director, Khaled Ajab, told “Al-Anbaa” that the first team will make a completely new appearance in the 2026-2027 football season, which kicks off next August.

“Sons of Abu Halifa” began last week the first phase of preparations for the crucial postponed rounds of the First Division, led by national coach Ali Abdul-Razzaq. These rounds start at the end of the current month, and their results will determine the identities of the two teams promoted to the Premier League. Al-Yarmouk and Al-Sahel are competing, both on 29 points, alongside Al-Salhiyah in third place (28 points) and Al-Jazira in fourth (24 points), for the two promotion spots to the “Premier League.”

Training sessions saw the attendance of most local players, with only a few absent for personal reasons.

Ajab praised the excellent start to training, saying: “We have completed the contracts with the foreign players, who will arrive sequentially in the coming days after finishing their entry procedures into the country, in cooperation with the Public Authority for Youth and Sports. We hope to achieve results commensurate with the considerable efforts made by everyone.”
